The effort to bring the Medal of Honor Society Convention to Chicago has been led by the Tawani Foundation in association with the USO of Illinois, the Mayor's Office of Special Events and with additional endorsements by the Chicago JROTC program, the McCormick Tribune Foundation, and the Chicago Sun Times, among others. Dates for the convention are tentatively set for September 15 - 19, 2009.
