Your
gift can be made "in honor of" a special person’s anniversary,
birthday, retirement, or graduation, or as a memorial to a loved one.
Notification of your gift will be sent to the honorees or to the families of
those for whom you are making a memorial. If you would like to
make a gift online, please send us an
email indicating the type of gift you are making and the
name and address of the honoree or family so that proper attribution and
notification can be made.

Pay tribute to one who is serving or one who has
served by dedicating a book in their honor at the Pritzker Military Library.
Each
$75
gift will commemorate one book selected by you from
a list provided by the Library. Names of the honoree and the donor will appear
on a Library bookplate placed inside the book. Notification of your gift and
the commemorative bookplate will be sent to the honorees or their families. If you choose, a photo and short description of
your honoree will be placed on a
special page on the Library's website.
Click here to make a gift online. You will receive an email with links to the booklist and a form to complete for book choice, notification of gift, and information for website.
Your employer may match your charitable contributions. Check with your employer,
secure the required forms, and send them to the Library with your contribution
(or at a later date).
You may be able to take a tax-deduction for the
full value of the stock on the day you transfer it to the Library. Speak to
your tax advisor and contact the Library’s Director of Development at
development@pritzkermilitarylibrary.org.
You can create a legacy by making a
bequest or a life income gift to the Library.
Please consider including the
Pritzker Military Library in your will or estate plan. The language can be as
simple as "I give, bequeath, and devise ______ percent of my estate or
$______ to the Colonel IL James N. Pritzker Library of the Citizen Soldier to
be used for the general purposes of the organization."
There are also several types of life
income gifts that enable donors to make a major gift to the Library while still
receiving income from that gift during their lifetime.

The Library fundraises and
"friend-raises" at its annual Liberty Gala ― an elegant evening
celebrating the Citizen Soldier that includes cocktails, dinner, award
presentations, and mingling at a post-event jazz lounge. The
2013 Liberty Gala
will be held on Saturday, November 16 at the historic Hilton Chicago.
