The Pritzker Military Library is a great resource for educators and students at all levels. Library staff can pull materials on a specific subject in advance of your visit for students’ browsing. Tours are available Tuesday through Saturday and can be tailored to suit your class. The Library can accommodate up to 60 students in a one-hour block. A chaperone is required for every ten students.
General tours last approximately 45 minutes, which includes the Citizen Soldier and Medal of Honor permanent exhibits, two rotating exhibits, and a selection of artifacts and rare books.
Tailored tours focus on a specific area of study, and students can view related items in our collection such as vintage posters, photographs, and artifacts. Sign up for the Civil War or World War II History Cart, where students can learn in-depth about the experiences of servicemen during those conflicts.
